The slipper-making craft of Liliw, Laguna carries heritage, creativity, and pride. Today, the industry faces a major challenge: lack of media presence. Based on insights from local business owners, the artistry of Liliw’s makers remains unseen by most Filipinos. Recognizing this, SoleMate was created to help the industry be seen again. It is a three-part docu-vlog series that shares the stories behind the craft. Each episode captures the people, culture, and heart of Liliw’s slipper scene. Through storytelling and visual exploration, the project brings local pride to life.
